The Infrastructure Department represents the “Physical” portion of the Medicine Wheel and is responsible for maintenance of C/TFN buildings, roads, and rental units.
They also handle garbage pick-up, sewer and water treatment, water delivery, the Housing Program, and management of the computer, telephone, security system, and vehicle fleet.
The Department of Infrastructure exists to manage properties/assets for the government of Carcross/Tagish First Nation and delivers both essential and public services to our Citizens and community. Within the circle governance structure, the department serves as the physical support to all C/TFN, providing safe and healthy environments that benefit our greater community.
A VISION FOR THE DEPARTMENT WILL BE POSTED SOON
The Carcross/Tagish First Nation Learning Centre is currently managed under the Infrastructure Department.
Carcross Tagish First Nation is adopting Nations Connect, an online consultation portal. As of March 31, 2022, all Government and Industry consultations will be submitted through Nations Connect in a simple and user-friendly process that will streamline communication. Industry and government can access Nations Connect by visiting Nations Connect. CTFN is working closely with Kwusen Media to expand the functionality of Nations Connect in the coming year to accept a broader range of consultation and engagement requests from the public and researchers. New developments will be shared as they come available. Further inquiries are welcome and can be directed to emily.macht@ctfn.ca.
